Reference - Scrapbook Dictionary

A dictionary of terms commonly encountered in the digital scrapping world.

Acronym	Abbreviation Expanded	Definition
Action		A Photoshop action is recording of steps used to automate the creation of a papers and elements.  For Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
Blinkie		A small (usually 50 x 150 pixels) animated digital image used to link to a blog, website or store.
CT	Creative Team	A group of people who turn scrap kits made by a designer into other scrap items, such as tags or layouts.
CS	Creative Suite	CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5. These are versions of Photoshop.
CU	Commercial Use	Most items that say this mean that you may use the item to sell but you'll need to read the descriptions because usually it means that you have to add something to it or if it's a graphic, you must put it ON something and flatten it to a jpeg file.  Some things are NOT allowed to be sold as a digital download only on hand printed items.
CU4CU	Commercial Use for Commercial Use	Means that you may take the product and sell it (not as is) by adding a graphic or personalization to it and then your customer may also sell it but they must sell it as a personalized and hand finished product.
CU4PU	Commercial Use for Personal Use	Means that you may take the product and sell it (not as is) by adding a graphic or personalization to it, your customer may only use the item for personal use, they may not sell it and make a profit from it.
CU OK	Commercial Use Allowed	Same as Commercial Use
Freebie		A free item.
FTU	Free To Use	Item is free for you to use.
Full Size		300 dpi scrap kit with 3600 x 3600 papers.
PTU	Pay To Use	Requires money/payment in order for you to acquire and use it.
PS	Photoshop	Made by Adobe.  A program you can use to make digital scrap kits.
PSE	Photoshop Elements	Made by Adobe.  A program you can use to make digital scrap kits.
PSP	Paint Shop Pro	Made by Corel. A program you can use to make digital scrap kits.
PU	Personal Use	Personal Use: Can be used for personal non-profit use.
QP	Quick Page aka Plopper	A decorated scrap page with holes/blanks for photographs that only requires pictures to make it complete. An instant page.
S4H	Scrap for Hire	Items can be used to make requested scrap or candy wrapping item for money.  Scrap 4 Hire refers to a scrapper creating an item for another person.  Can be synonymous with S4O.
S4O	Scrap for Others	Items can be used to make scrap items for other people.  A fee for the service may not be required. Can be synonymous with S4H.
Script	PSP	A Paint Shop Pro Script is a recording of steps used to automate the creation of a papers and elements.
Tagger-Size		72 dpi kit with 600 x 600 papers and elements smaller than 300 pixels on a side.
TOU	Terms of Use	Document that defines how you may use work generated by another designer/creator.
